A major terror conspiracy targeting Bengal and the Northeast has been foiled. The NIA has chargesheeted 11 alleged members of the banned Bangladesh-based terror outfit JMB. The chargesheet claims they were plotting subversive activities across West Bengal, Assam, and Tripura. Investigators also allege a wider conspiracy to recruit operatives across Northeast India, radicalise youth, and build a digital network to spread extremist ideology.
