Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has approved their merger with the Shinde faction. With all six MPs joining the Shinde camp, the rival faction within Shiv Sena ceases to exist, making Eknath Shinde the party’s sole recognised leader. As a result, Uddhav Thackeray will no longer be entitled to use the Shiv Sena name or its official party symbol/logo.
