BJP has accused Gautam Kumar Das and Jayanta Bhadra of involvement in the incident. The BJP has also alleged that the duo attempted to create unrest during the vote-counting process of the 2021 Assembly elections. Two separate complaints have been filed at Baruipur Police Station. However, the accused have reportedly dismissed the allegations and refused to accept the charges.
