Severe flash floods have wreaked havoc, bringing back memories of the Himalayan tsunami. The Bhote Koshi River has caused destruction in the Timure and Syabrubesi areas of Rasuwa district. Several villages have been washed away, with multiple villages in Rasuwa completely destroyed. More than 100 deaths are feared, while over 1,000 people, including 41 police personnel, are missing. Around 4,000 residents are reportedly stranded, with six districts affected by the devastating floods.
